Sweetwater Bay Montessori has now been in existence for two years. We began August of 2007 with one enrolled student. On this journey we have been met with stumbling blocks and have crossed many hurdles. But....it has been an experience I wouldn't trade for anything. We have gained a much greater respect for other small business owners.
After many years of working at other Montessori schools, I wanted the opportunity to try building a school on my own. With the confidence and expertise of my eldest daughter, Stacey we were off and running. We have had such a great time interacting with our students and parents.
Most importantly your child will be in a loving and nurturing environment. Our teachers are some of the BEST you'll find. We are here for you and your child so please be open and honest to allow for great communication. This will allow us to make your experience a positive and fulfilled one.
Kari Wax
We are so excited to introduce the newest addition to the Sweetwater Bay Montessori Family. We feel so blessed to have Kari join our team. As you will soon find out she is an amazing and extremely qualified teacher. She will be helping us out wherever needed in our Primary and Infant Programs. Below is a message from her explaining her experience.
My name is Kari Wax. I have been married for 10 years and have 3 children who all attend Montessori schools. I am trained as a Montessori early childhood teacher and have taught at Desert Shadows Montessori for 5 years. I am also a trained Suzuki early childhood music teacher. I have been teaching Suzuki violin lessons to preschoolers and music classes for babies for many years now. Later this summer i am completing my Montessori infant/toddler certification at the MECA-Seton Montessori training center in Chicago. I am also finishing up a Bachelor degree this year in Human Services with an early childhood education certification. I have known Carolyn Garrison and her family for practically my whole life! I am very excited for this amazing opportunity to join her staff.
I have been married for 10 years and I have 4 beautiful children. As a family we like to go camping, ride bikes, swim, and play fun games. My life has always revolved around children. I enjoy seeing children learn and I get excited when they accomplish something good in life. This past year and a half, I helped assist at a preschool in Queen Creek. What a good experience and a dream come true. I know I love children and teaching is what I want to do. Unfortunately we moved and I had to leave the preschool. I was so sad but I knew if I tried I could find another great school. Lucky me, I found one. I am so excited and look forward to working with your children and watching them grow into wonderful human beings.
